LIPOSUCTION (LOCAL FAT REMOVAL)
Liposuction is generally used in an attempt to change the body’s shape. Local fat deposites are the most stubbern problems which can not be removed by the help of diets, exercises and local medical aesthetic interventions
Fat cells (lipocytes) do not increase in number except for the first 2 years after birth and during puberty. During these periods gaining too much weight can cause fat cells to multiply. However, the number of fat cells in adults is fixed. Nutritional habits and lifestyles are the most important factors in people’s weight gain. However, although these conditions are met, persistent fat accumulation may occur in certain areas of the body such as the abdomen, waist, hips, thighs outer and inner sides, knee.
During the liposuction operation, the region is inflated with liquid. Then a few small, milimetric incisions are made. Unwanted fat tissue is removed from these cuts by the start of vacuum processing with fine cannulas. Depending on the patient’s condition, pre-melting by laser, ultrasound or radiofrequency during the application to increase the success of the treatment (Laser liposuction, Vaser liposuction, Slim lipo…etc.)
The operation time is least 1 hour with varying degrees (the amount of the fat and the number of the operation areas). The operation is performed in full-fledged hospital conditions, under general/local anesthesia and the patient is hospitalized for one night after surgery. A few days later the patients may return to their daily lifes. The swellings and bruises that may develop after the procedure are recovered rapidly within 1-2 weeks. Roughly the result is seen after 15 days. It must be at least 3 months for the final result.
